Leslie @ Books Are the New Black is the creator of Birthstone Book Covers. Each month, she features book covers that are either the same color of that month’s birthstone or include the color in the title.
August has one birthstone – Peridot.
Out of May and August, this is the more difficult green birthstone for me. I don’t know why really, but I’m guessing it’s ’cause I want to differentiate the two months somehow. So I usually go for darker and more grassy greens for May, and lighter and lime greens for August, the latter of which I tend to find a bit more difficult.
So this is what I got this year. (Also, somehow Cinda Williams Chima made it on here twice, lol. Mostly ’cause I’m not sure which of the last two books I chose are greener, so I just decided to put them both here.)A
