Weekly Wrap-Up: 10/13 – 11/2

Uh, so it’s been quite a while. Sorry about that – I was dealing with a lot of really rough Real Life Stuff. The last month or so has really been a rollercoaster for me, but I think I’m finally starting to feel ready to be getting back to normal.

Anyway, unfortunately I didn’t read anything in the past few weeks, but with everything going on, I didn’t expect to. I’m not upset about that for the same reason. Likewise, I didn’t really do much posting on the blog, either. But, again, I’m not disappointed about that this time around, because of everything that’s been going on.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Tuesday 10/14: Top Ten Tuesday

A few Tuesdays ago, I participated in Top Ten Tuesday again for the first time in a couple weeks. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It celebrates lovely lists, wonderful books and the bookish community. The prompt for that week was Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time.

Thursday 10/30: Blogging Birthday

A week and a half ago, on the last Thursday of October, I did a post celebrating the anniversary of the day I first posted on The Blog That Nobody Knows. It was several days late, as my actual blogging birthday is October 18th, but I still wanted to acknowledge it regardless.

Friday 10/31: Halloween / Birthstone Book Covers

The Friday from a week and a half ago was October 31st, which is Halloween. So I’ll say it again: Happy Halloween!! 🎃👻 It was a pretty chill day for us at our house, we handed our candy to a few groups of kids and just relaxed and watched some TV. I had my Halloween decorations and candles going and it was really nice.

I also posted on Halloween. I participated in Birthstone Book Covers – just barely getting it in before October was over. Birthstone Book Covers is a fun little post created and hosted by Leslie @ Books Are the New Black.

Each month, for the post, you feature book covers that are either the same color of the month’s birthstone or include the color in the title. This month was October, and its birthstones are tourmaline and opal. So the colors of the month were pink and iridescent.

Books I Read Over the Last Three Weeks

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, I didn’t really do much in the last few weeks. But as I mentioned several times, there was a lot going on last month. Honestly, the last two and a half months have been super rough. But, I’m trying to get things in my life back to normal, and I think I’m ready to get back in the game with the blog again.

I have a bunch of books on my TBR that I still have to read, though I’m not sure which ones I’m going to read next. I do have an idea about the posts I want to do this week for the blog, though. I want to do my Most Interesting Looking New Books of November 2025 post, as well as my monthly reading wrap-up for October 2025. I’m not sure what else I’ll post, though I’m hoping to get a book review out as well. We’ll see, though.

As I highlighted above, Halloween was about a week and a half ago. And it was pretty nice, even after everything that went on. Concerning other stuff with life outside the blog, there’s really nothing else that went on, besides all of the rough stuff that was going on that I’m not gonna elaborate on. I guess that my spouse and I have still been kind of watching what we eat and stuff, but nothing else.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar

Three Years of Blogging About Books

It’s been over three years since I first started this blog. I can’t believe it. Time really does fly, sometimes.

Happy 3rd Birthday to the blog! 🎉🎁🎈🎂

My original plan was to post this on or just after October 18th just like I usually do, but sometimes shit really does hit the fan. (I’m also back-posting it because I forgot to have it go live last night. You stop blogging for two weeks and this happens. Blegh.) I’ve been dealing with a lot the past couple of months, and it finally all crescendoed a couple of days after my last post here. My world is now forever irrevocably changed, and not in a good way. But I’m getting used to it and moving forward.

Anyway, moving on.

Like the last two years, I want to thank everyone who’s ever liked or commented on my posts here, or followed The Blog That Nobody Knows. Heck, even if you’ve ever just clicked on (or tapped on mobile) one of my posts and didn’t even finish reading it, I’m eternally grateful. It means a lot. Even those of you who aren’t human, lol.

As I’ve mentioned numerous times, I started this blog for fun three years ago. I still want to continue that despite everything, even though it’s been hard. Because even though I haven’t been reading as much, and consequentially not been blogging as much, I do still enjoy it. I know I haven’t posted like at all for the past two weeks, but I have no current plans to put blogging on a hiatus or something. I’m hoping that things will pick up around the start of 2026 – I don’t think that this current year is salvageable at this point. So, fresh start next year.

This year has been rough for me, and thus The Blog That Nobody Knows as well, unfortunately. 2025 has just not been my year and all the worst ways. Maybe I’ll get into it in my New Year’s post, but I’m not sure I’m ready to talk about it right now. But yeah, I don’t care what anyone says about 2020 – 2025 is actually absolutely the worst year ever.

And even though this year has been horrible, I can’t help but do my usual. Here’s to another year of books and book reviews! Hopefully the next one is much better than this one! 🍻🥂

As always, thank you again so much for reading, and I hope you all have an absolutely perfect day/night!

Two Years of Blogging About Books

So. Here we are. It’s been a year, but October 18th has once again come and gone.

Bet you guys were expecting a different post today – perhaps a Friday themed one?! Haha, surprise! It’s my anniversary! (No – really!)

Happy Blogging Birthday to me!! 🎂🎈🎁🎉 (Or anniversary, if you prefer!) I can’t believe it’s already been two years!

Like last year, I want to thank everyone who’s ever liked or commented on my posts here, or followed The Blog That Nobody Knows. Heck, even if you’ve ever just clicked on (or tapped on mobile) one of my posts and didn’t even finish reading it, I’m eternally grateful. It means a lot. Even those of you who aren’t human, lol.

I started this blog for fun two years ago, and I’m hoping to continue that. Sure, I wouldn’t mind making money off of it eventually, but having fun with it is my main priority here. When I created this blog, I did so with the goal of talking about books. And I think I’ve definitely succeeded with that, haha. I hope to spend many more years doing so here!

I guess the only other thing I can think of to say is, here’s to another year of books and book reviews! 🍻🥂

As always, thank you again so much for reading, and I hope you all have an absolutely perfect day/night!

One Year of Book Blogging

So, the day has finally come. It’s finally been a year since my first post here on my little reading blog.

Happy 1st Birthday to the blog, I guess! 🎉🎁🎈🎂

It feels like so little time, yet so much time has passed simultaneously. I can’t believe it’s really already been an entire year. So many things have changed since the last October 18th, the least of which being it was on a Tuesday last year. So many things are different… yet so many are still the same.

I’m honestly struggling a bit on what to say here. I just can’t think of much, unfortunately. I don’t know why.

Well actually, there is definitely one thing that I know I want to say.

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed or read my blog posts. Even if it was just one book review – thank you from the bottom of my heart! It means more than you know. I don’t know how many of you are real or robot (or some kind of scam), but seeing any and all notifications always makes my days a tiny bit brighter.

I guess the only other thing I can think of to say is, here’s to another year of books and book reviews! The second of many, hopefully. 🍻🥂

As always, thank you again so much for reading, and I hope you all have an absolutely perfect day/night!

See ya ~Mar
