It’s a new week! Happy Monday everybody!

Last week was pretty good. My blog activity was really high; even though it wasn’t as strong during the second half of the week. I also read a new book, which I’m very happy about. Starting off April very well!

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Monday 3/30: Birthstone Book Covers

Last Monday,Β I participated in Birthstone Book Covers.Β Birthstone Book CoversΒ is a fun little post created and hosted byΒ Leslie @ Books Are the New Black.

Each month, for the post, you feature book covers that are either the same color of the month’s birthstone or include the color in the title. This month was March, and its birthstone is aquamarine. So the colors to pick from are shades of cyan.

Sunday 4/5: Easter

Yesterday, it was Easter, so much like last year, I ended up not posting anything on the blog. But to those who celebrate, Happy Easter!! πŸ‡πŸ€πŸ§ΊπŸ₯š We had a great afternoon spending time with family – for us it’s one of the few times of the year when everyone is able to get together, so it’s important to me for pretty much that reason alone.

There were even a few more family members than usual, which made it extra special. Also, there was a lot of good food for dinner and some wonderful desserts. It was just a wonderful day in general.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, I’m pretty satisfied with everything I was able to do last week. I’m happy to have read a book, though I wouldn’t have minded reading a second one. The holiday made the weekend busy, however, and I had other stuff going on over the week, so I’m not that disappointed about it. I’m also really happy about the blogging I did. Five posts! Yay!

This week I want to participate in a couple of my favorite weekly posts, as well as post my review for A Widow’s Charm by Caitlyn Paxson. I also want to definitely post my list of most interesting new books of April 2026. I would’ve liked to do that this past week, but I ran out of time, unfortunately. And in regards to reading books, I want to finally start Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman next.

Outside of books and blogging, not much other than Easter went on last week. Other than that, nothing’s really changed. My spouse and I are still being healthier, and we’ve watched some stuff on and off, but other than that, not much.

Monthly Wrap-Up: March Reading 2026

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! It’s time for my monthly reading wrap-up for March 2026!

I read a pretty good amount last month. Seven books! Seven! I’m so happy about that; I haven’t read that many books in one month in ages. I also blogged a fair amount as well, so I’m also satisfied with that.

Anyway, let’s just start talking about myΒ StoryGraphΒ statistics from last month!

March Reading 2026

I’m liking what I’ve been doing, so I’m going to continue starting off with my general statistics here first before getting into the more specific stuff. Everything was so much higher last month and I’m really happy about it.

I read πŸ“š 7 books and πŸ“‘ 3,763 pages in March, and my average star rating was ⭐ 4.04 stars. Also, the average length of the books I read was πŸ“ˆ 537 pages and my average time to finish a novel πŸ—“οΈ was 2 days.

😐 MOODS: I had more Moods than usual last month. For this past month, my Moods were Adventurous, Funny, Tense, Lighthearted, Reflective, Mysterious, Informative, Emotional, and Dark.

πŸ‘’ PACE:Β The pacing of of the books that I read inΒ March was 57% slow, 29% medium, and 14% fast.

πŸ”’ PAGE NUMBER:Β Concerning my average Page Number per book,Β 71% of them were over 500 pages, and 29% of them between 300 and 499 pages.

πŸ“– FICTION/NONFICTION:Β Regarding the ratio here, the books I read were both fiction. As is my usual.

🎭 GENRES: The Genres I read in March were Manga, Fantasy, Young Adult, LGBT+, Horror, and Comics.

πŸ“„ FORMAT:Β The Format was 86% print and 14% digital. So the majority of them were physical copies with one of them being an ebook.

πŸ“Š STAR RATINGS:Β I’ve already mentioned this above, but this is what it looks like on the graph. One novel I read I gave 3.75 stars (Brighter Than Nine), four novels I gave 4 stars (Don’t Let the Forest In and three omnibuses of One Piece), and two books I gave 4.25 stars (two omnibuses of One Piece).

πŸ“‰ PAGES READ DAILY: I read less during the first half of the month compared to the second half. The highest peak of my reading was on the 28 with a bunch of One Piece, though the days surrounding it were also pretty high (also do to One Piece). Though not very high, my earliest reading spike in the month was the 4th.

Wrapping Up the Wrap-Up

So yeah, those were all of my reading stats from last month. I’m pretty happy with how everything turned out. I hope that April is just as wonderful.

For this month, I’ve already read A Widow’s Charm by Caitlyn Paxson, and I’m planning on getting a review for it out soon. In regards to books that I want to read next, I’m planning on Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman, and if I like it, the sequel to it as well. I’d also like to read The Subtle Art of Folding Space by John Chu, and maybeΒ No Gods No Kings by Demetria Paxton. I also want to get back into the Dresden Files still, and am hoping to do so in the next few weeks.

Ugh, this is so late. I hope you’re having a good week so far. This past weekend and the last few days have been a bit iffy, which is why this isn’t on Monday like it usually is. But anyway, it’s time for another Weekly Wrap-Up!

Friday 3/13: Don’t Let the Forest In Review / Friday the 13th

This past Friday, I reviewed Don’t Let the Forest In by CG Drews. It’s a YA fantasy-horror novel, with LGBT+ themes. It was somewhat reminiscent of things I’ve read before and I had other issues with it, but I generally enjoyed it. I gave it β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†, because even though it had its flaws, I really like the cover and I think it was a pretty decent book.

Book Review: Don’t Let the Forest In

It was also Friday the 13th. Like I said last month, it isn’t a holiday or anything. I just like to acknowledge it for whatever reason. And we had two of these this year – because one of the Friday the 13th’s happened to be in February.

Saturday 3/14: Pi Day (Ο€)

On Saturday, I didn’t really post anything, but it was another day of the year I like to point out for some reason – Pi Day (3.14). We didn’t end up getting a pie to celebrate, unfortunately. Oh well. Still love the day, though.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, that’s all the stuff that happened last week. This week I want to do just as well or better. Hopefully I can keep this up.

Concerning my blogging, I want to post my review for Brighter Than Nine by June CL Tan. I’d also like to participate in at least one or two of my usual weekly posts, and maybe something else. Not all sure yet. In regards to what I want to read next, I’m in between jumping right into the next arc of One Piece, or maybe reading The Last Sun by K.D. Edwards. I’m not completely sure yet.

Regarding stuff outside of books and blogging, last week my spouse and I finally finished the original Justice League cartoon from 2001. They’ve already seen it, so it was a rewatch for them, but it was new for me. We’d actually started watching its first season like a year and a half ago, but just now got around to watching the second and finishing up the show. I thought it was all right; I didn’t dislike it or anything, it just didn’t blow my mind either.

We also watched season two of the live action One Piece. And it was just as good as the first season. I can’t believe one of the top live action anime adaptations is One Piece – you’d think it would be impossible. And how the hell do they keep doing perfect casting?! But yeah, we really enjoyed it. Looking forward to season three (probably) next year – can’t wait to see how they adapt Alabasta.

Monthly Wrap-Up: January Reading 2026

Hey everyone, and here’s a belated Happy Valentine’s Day!! πŸ’πŸŒΉπŸ’ŒπŸŒ·πŸ«πŸ’ This post is also extremely late in the month. I usually like to do my monthly wrap-ups within the first week or so into the next month, but that didn’t happen here this time. Oh well. But yeah, here’s my reading wrap-up for January 2026!

January was alright. I read a couple of books and my blog activity was pretty high, for me at least. I’d have liked to do better in regards to how many novels I read, but two books isn’t terrible, especially with how half of last year was. Hopefully I’ll do better for February, or at the very least, match my reading from last month.

Anyway, let’s just start talking about my StoryGraph statistics from last month!

January Reading 2026

I’ve decided to do things slightly differently this time around. The analysis of my Moods and such is staying the same, but I’m adding a few more stats up here.

I readΒ πŸ“š 2 booksΒ andΒ πŸ“‘ 923 pagesΒ in January, and myΒ average star rating was ⭐ 4.0 stars.Β Also, the average length of the books I read was πŸ“ˆ 461 pagesΒ and my average time to finish was πŸ—“οΈ 3 days.

😐 MOODS: For this past month, my Moods were Adventurous, Tense, Funny, Emotional, and Dark, with the largest part of the pie chart being Adventurous.

πŸ‘’ PACE: The pacing of of the books that I read in January was 100% medium.

πŸ”’ PAGE NUMBER: Concerning my average Page Number per book, 50% of the books were above 500 pages, and 50% of the novels were between 300 and 499 pages. So one book was 500+ pages and the other was 300 – 499.

πŸ“– FICTION/NONFICTION: Regarding the ratio here, the books I read were both fiction.

🎭 GENRES: All of the Genres I read in January were Fantasy, Romance, Science Fiction, and LGBT+. They were each only applicable once to either of the two books, so they’re all equal.

πŸ“‰ PAGES READ DAILY: I didn’t read anything over the first half of the month, unfortunately, but I did during the second half. I read quite a bit between the 16th and the 19th, but my biggest peak was at the end of the month on the 30th and 31st.

Wrapping Up the Wrap-Up

So yeah, January wasn’t quite as good as I was hoping it would be, but I can only hope to go better this month. I’m happy with how consistent I was with blogging, though, even if I had wanted to do better with my book reading.

Regarding what I want to read next, I’m thinking Strange Animals by Jarod K. Anderson, and then maybe Stolen Midnights by Katherine Quinn. After that, I’m not absolutely sure. I’m also considering Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawsett, however.

This post was late in part because I wanted to get all of my reviews for the books I read last month out first, but also because I wanted to alter my monthly wrap-ups a little bit, but wasn’t super cute what exactly I wanted for a small while. But I’ve finally figured it out, so I’m finally posting this. Yay!
