Monthly Wrap-Up: March Reading 2026

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! It’s time for my monthly reading wrap-up for March 2026!

I read a pretty good amount last month. Seven books! Seven! I’m so happy about that; I haven’t read that many books in one month in ages. I also blogged a fair amount as well, so I’m also satisfied with that.

Anyway, let’s just start talking about my StoryGraph statistics from last month!

March Reading 2026

I’m liking what I’ve been doing, so I’m going to continue starting off with my general statistics here first before getting into the more specific stuff. Everything was so much higher last month and I’m really happy about it.

I read 📚 7 books and 📑 3,763 pages in March, and my average star rating was ⭐ 4.04 stars. Also, the average length of the books I read was 📈 537 pages and my average time to finish a novel 🗓️ was 2 days.

😐 MOODS: I had more Moods than usual last month. For this past month, my Moods were Adventurous, Funny, Tense, Lighthearted, Reflective, Mysterious, Informative, Emotional, and Dark.

👢 PACE: The pacing of of the books that I read in March was 57% slow, 29% medium, and 14% fast.

🔢 PAGE NUMBER: Concerning my average Page Number per book, 71% of them were over 500 pages, and 29% of them between 300 and 499 pages.

📖 FICTION/NONFICTION: Regarding the ratio here, the books I read were both fiction. As is my usual.

🎭 GENRES: The Genres I read in March were Manga, Fantasy, Young Adult, LGBT+, Horror, and Comics.

📄 FORMAT: The Format was 86% print and 14% digital. So the majority of them were physical copies with one of them being an ebook.

📊 STAR RATINGS: I’ve already mentioned this above, but this is what it looks like on the graph. One novel I read I gave 3.75 stars (Brighter Than Nine), four novels I gave 4 stars (Don’t Let the Forest In and three omnibuses of One Piece), and two books I gave 4.25 stars (two omnibuses of One Piece).

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: I read less during the first half of the month compared to the second half. The highest peak of my reading was on the 28 with a bunch of One Piece, though the days surrounding it were also pretty high (also do to One Piece). Though not very high, my earliest reading spike in the month was the 4th.

Wrapping Up the Wrap-Up

So yeah, those were all of my reading stats from last month. I’m pretty happy with how everything turned out. I hope that April is just as wonderful.

For this month, I’ve already read A Widow’s Charm by Caitlyn Paxson, and I’m planning on getting a review for it out soon. In regards to books that I want to read next, I’m planning on Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman, and if I like it, the sequel to it as well. I’d also like to read The Subtle Art of Folding Space by John Chu, and maybe No Gods No Kings by Demetria Paxton. I also want to get back into the Dresden Files still, and am hoping to do so in the next few weeks.

Monthly Wrap-Up: February Reading 2026

Yes! I’m posting this on a reasonable day of the month this time! So yeah, here’s my reading wrap-up for February 2026! I’m relatively happy with it, this time.

I read a couple of books, though as always, I wish I would’ve read more. Oh well, maybe in March I can do better. I think my problem this time around was that it took me a bit to get reading. My blog activity throughout February was pretty good, though, and I’m really satisfied with that.

Anyway, let’s just start talking about my StoryGraph statistics from last month!

February Reading 2026

I’m gonna continue with what I started last month, and my general statistics here first before getting into the more specific stuff. Not everything was as high as in January – such as my page count and ratings – but I’m okay with it.

I read 📚 2 books and 📑 784 pages in February, and my average star rating was ⭐ 3.0 stars. Also, the average length of the books I read was 📈 392 pages and my average time to finish a novel was 🗓️ 2 days.

😐 MOODS: For this past month, my Moods were Adventurous, Mysterious, and Reflective, and all three slices of the pie chart were equal.

👢 PACE: The pacing of of the books that I read in February was 100% medium.

🔢 PAGE NUMBER: Concerning my average Page Number per book, all 100% of the novels were between 300 and 499 pages. So they were both the same in this aspect.

📖 FICTION/NONFICTION: Regarding the ratio here, the books I read were both fiction. As is my usual.

🎭 GENRES: The Genres I read in February were Fantasy and Young Adult. Both books were Fantasy and one of them was Young Adult.

📄 FORMAT: The Format was 50% print and 50% digital. So, one of the novels was a physical copy, and the other was an ebook.

📊 STAR RATINGS: I’ve already mentioned this above, but this is what it looks like on the graph. One novel I read I gave 2.75 stars (Stolen Midnights) and the other I gave 3.5 stars (Strange Animals), resulting in my average.

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: I didn’t read anything over the first half of the month, unfortunately, but I did during the second half. A decent amount, too. I read Strange Animals between the 22nd and the 24th, and then later I read Stolen Midnights at the very end of February on the 27th and the 28th. The last two days of the month were also my highest peak in reading.

So yeah, I would’ve liked February to have been a little bit better, but I’m overall not that disappointed. I’m really happy with my blog activity from last month, too. I just want to read more books per month.

In regards to my reading so far in March, I read Don’t Let the Forest In by CG Drews last week, and I’m planning to start Brighter Than Nine by June CL Tan today (it just came out!). After that, I’m not as sure, but I definitely have a few ideas.

Monthly Wrap-Up: January Reading 2026

Hey everyone, and here’s a belated Happy Valentine’s Day!! 💝🌹💌🌷🍫💐 This post is also extremely late in the month. I usually like to do my monthly wrap-ups within the first week or so into the next month, but that didn’t happen here this time. Oh well. But yeah, here’s my reading wrap-up for January 2026!

January was alright. I read a couple of books and my blog activity was pretty high, for me at least. I’d have liked to do better in regards to how many novels I read, but two books isn’t terrible, especially with how half of last year was. Hopefully I’ll do better for February, or at the very least, match my reading from last month.

Anyway, let’s just start talking about my StoryGraph statistics from last month!

January Reading 2026

I’ve decided to do things slightly differently this time around. The analysis of my Moods and such is staying the same, but I’m adding a few more stats up here.

I read 📚 2 books and 📑 923 pages in January, and my average star rating was ⭐ 4.0 stars. Also, the average length of the books I read was 📈 461 pages and my average time to finish was 🗓️ 3 days.

😐 MOODS: For this past month, my Moods were Adventurous, Tense, Funny, Emotional, and Dark, with the largest part of the pie chart being Adventurous.

👢 PACE: The pacing of of the books that I read in January was 100% medium.

🔢 PAGE NUMBER: Concerning my average Page Number per book, 50% of the books were above 500 pages, and 50% of the novels were between 300 and 499 pages. So one book was 500+ pages and the other was 300 – 499.

📖 FICTION/NONFICTION: Regarding the ratio here, the books I read were both fiction.

🎭 GENRES: All of the Genres I read in January were Fantasy, Romance, Science Fiction, and LGBT+. They were each only applicable once to either of the two books, so they’re all equal.

📄 FORMAT: The Format for both books was print, so they were both physical copies.

📊 STAR RATINGS: I’ve already mentioned this above, but this is what it looks like on the graph. Both novels I read I rated 4.0 stars, though.

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: I didn’t read anything over the first half of the month, unfortunately, but I did during the second half. I read quite a bit between the 16th and the 19th, but my biggest peak was at the end of the month on the 30th and 31st.

Wrapping Up the Wrap-Up

So yeah, January wasn’t quite as good as I was hoping it would be, but I can only hope to go better this month. I’m happy with how consistent I was with blogging, though, even if I had wanted to do better with my book reading.

Regarding what I want to read next, I’m thinking Strange Animals by Jarod K. Anderson, and then maybe Stolen Midnights by Katherine Quinn. After that, I’m not absolutely sure. I’m also considering Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawsett, however.

This post was late in part because I wanted to get all of my reviews for the books I read last month out first, but also because I wanted to alter my monthly wrap-ups a little bit, but wasn’t super cute what exactly I wanted for a small while. But I’ve finally figured it out, so I’m finally posting this. Yay!

Monthly Wrap-Up: December Reading 2025

I’m a little later than I’d like to be with this wrap-up, but it isn’t as bad as the last two months, so I’m fine with it. But yeah, here’s my reading wrap-up for December 2025! I still can’t believe that 2025 is over and a new year has started!

December was pretty decent. It’s not my best month of 2025, but I read two books, which is better than most of the months last year, not to mention some of the Decembers of the past. So I’ll take it as a win.

🔢 PAGE NUMBER: The novels I read were between 198 and 240 pages.

📖 FICTION/NONFICTION: It was once again all fiction. As usual.

🎭 GENRES: There were a bunch of Genres on the graph this month, and I’m really happy about it. They were: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Magical Realism, Young Adult, LGBT+, and Graphic Novel.

📄 FORMAT: This pie chart was correct again this time. Both books I read were physical copies.

⭐ RATING: My median star rating for last month was 4.5

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: My reading was pretty divided in December. I read a lot during the first week, didn’t read anything at all for the next couple of weeks, and then I read some during the last couple of days of the month.

Wrapping Up the Wrap-Up

So yeah, my reading in December wasn’t too bad. I managed to keep up the same pace of the two months preceding it, and end the year in a decent way in regards to reading. I’m also happy that I enjoyed the last couple of books that I read last year. It felt like leaving on a high note.

Regarding what I want to read next, I’m in between The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah and waiting for a book to be released in the next few days and reading that. I also would like to read Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao, as well as her new book also coming out this month. I’m not sure what I’m going to end up choosing next, though. We’ll see.

Monthly Wrap-Up: November Reading 2025

Late again! Ugh, this is later than October’s. I’m tired of posting my wrap-ups this late in the month. But at least my book reviews for the novels I read last month are posted, unlike last time. So this being late was a sacrifice I was willing to make. Anyway, here comes my reading wrap-up for November 2025!

And I think November was pretty good. At the very least it matched the month before – I read two books two months in a row. The page count wasn’t quite as good as October, though. There’s certainly room for improvement, but with the way this year has been with books and reading, I’ll accept what I can get. Hopefully December is at least just as good.

📖 FICTION/NONFICTION: It was once again all fiction. As usual.

🎭 GENRES: There was one Genre on the graph this month, and it’s what’s almost always my top one to read – Fantasy.

📄 FORMAT: This pie chart was correct. Both books I read were digital.

⭐ RATING: My median star rating for last month was 3.75.

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: My reading was practically non-existent for the majority of November. It did finally ramp up near the end of the month, though.

So yeah, my reading in November was okay. I hope I at the very least keep up the pace for the last month of the year. I’d like to read more than two books in a month, but with how December has historically turned out, let’s just say that I’m not going to cross my fingers too hard. I have a few books I’m looking into reading next. Water Moon by Samantha Sotto Yambao is one of them, as well as A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik, along with The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah, which has been getting pushed back for months in favor of other stuff though I still want to read it. I’m not sure what it’s gonna be yet – it could even be some other book that I didn’t just list even.

Ugh, this is so late. Oh well, what can you do. I’m still trying to get back into things, but it’s been a little rough. Anyway, reading wrap-up for October 2025 incoming!

Last month was pretty decent, especially compared to the last six months. I read two books! Yay! I hope I can either keep it up or get better before the end of the year. If not, then I’m gonna strive for better next year.

So yeah, my reading in October reading was definitely an improvement over the few months preceding it. I hope I continue to read at least a decent amount for the remainder of the year. We’ll see, though.

I’m not quite sure what I’m going to read next, and I’m not going to force it. I do have a general idea, however, and once I officially pick which book I want to go with next, I just have to ease myself into reading. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get into a new novel soon. ⭐ RATING: My median star rating for last month was 4.0, which makes sense as I only read one book and that was the rating I gave it.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, last week was okay, but it could’ve been better. I still read and posted though, and with how things were going before, I’ll take that as a win. I hope this coming week will be better, though.

I’ve got A Study in Charlotte and The Ashfire King on my more immediate TBR, so here’s hoping I’ll get through those this week. After that, I think there’s a good chance I might get back into reading the Dresden Files. I read the first seven books a few years ago – like six months or so before I started posting on this blog, actually – but then I took a break. Because even though I loved the series, I read those seven books all within a month, and I wanted to read other stuff for a bit. So I’ve been meaning to get back to them for a while. Maybe I’ll make it an October thing, since it starts next week anyway. I don’t know.

Not too much went on last week, with life outside the blog. It was cleaning week last week, and my spouse and I are still trying to be healthier, but that’s mostly it.

It’s later than I wanted to, but I’m finally posting my reading wrap-up from last month. Things were unfortunately a bit busy during the beginning of this month, so everything has been pushed back a little bit. Anyway, here it is: my reading wrap-up for August 2025!

So August’s reading was kind of terrible, similar to several months of this year preceding it. I don’t think it was the worst of the year, but it was definitely bad.

📖 FICTION/NONFICTION: It was once again all fiction. As usual.

📄 FORMAT: This pie chart was once again correct. Five months in a row. Yay.

⭐ RATING: My median star rating for last month was 4.0, which makes sense as I only read one book and that was the rating I gave it.

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: My reading during August, as I’ve mentioned before, was not great. I read a little bit earlier in the month on the 9th and the 10th, but I really got my reading done closer to the end of the month, on the 21st, 22nd she 23rd.

So yeah, my reading once again sucked last month. Ugh, this year annoys me so much, in regards to reading novels and stuff. It’s also the worst slump I’ve ever had, by far, as it’s lasted several months. I just want it to end and to get back into books again. I guess hoping that September turns out better is all I can really hope for. Oh well.

For this current month, I’m definitely gonna finish the One Piece arc that I started last month. Primarily because it’s short – it’s only two volumes and I’ve already read one of them. I’m also hoping to read at least a couple of other books as well. We’ll see what happens.

Another month, another reading wrap-up! It’s a little bit late, but I’m not posting it as late as I have the last couple of months – particularly last month, ew – so I’m considering this a win. Anyway, here it is: my reading wrap-up for July 2025!

📄 FORMAT: This pie chart was once again correct. Four months in a row. I didn’t know the Format chart had it in it.

⭐ RATING: My median star rating for last month was 5.0, which makes sense as I only read one book and that was the rating I gave it.

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: My reading during July, as I’ve mentioned before, was pretty terrible. I didn’t really read anything until the very end of the month, wherein I read the novel over the last two days.

Wrapping Up the Wrap-Up

So yeah, my reading was not great in July, and my blog activity was also not the best. I really, really want to do better in August though. Summer has always been kind of difficult for me where productivity is concerned, and that includes reading books. I don’t know why that is, and I hate that it is that way for me, but that’s just kind of how it is. The past two months have been particularly bad, though – I’ve never had a June and July come out this bad. But August is sometimes when I’m able to get back into it, so I’m hoping that’s the case for this year.

I absolutely have contingencies for my reading this month though. For one thing, I’m definitely (finally) getting back into reading One Piece in August, and the next arc is three super-volumes/omnibuses, so that’s three books right there. I’d also really like to read at least two other books, so hopefully that will also happen. I don’t know yet if there’s gonna be stuff from my TBR, if I’m gonna spontaneously pick stuff or it’ll be both yet, though. I very much want to get back on track with everything – I love reading more than mostly everything and this blog is important to me, even if sometimes both feel like a bit of a slog.
