Weekly Wrap-Up: 10/6 – 10/12

Hey everyone! It’s time for another Weekly Wrap-Up. I know I’m a bit late this week, but real life is still rough right now, so I’m just taking everything day by day.

Last week was fantastic for me – both in regards to blogging and books. I’m really happy with it all. I was able to get out the post that I most wanted to, and I read more than one novel.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Tuesday 10/7: Top Ten Tuesday

Last Tuesday, I participated in Top Ten Tuesday. It’s been almost two months since I last participated in this, what with everything going on, so I was eager to get back into it.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It celebrates lovely lists, wonderful books and the bookish community. The prompt for last week was Satisfying Book Series.

Wednesday 10/8: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

On Wednesday, I did another Can’t-Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Sunday 10/12: September Reading 2025

Last Sunday, I posted my Monthly Reading Wrap-Up for September 2025. And it was posted at a reasonable time of the month this time! For those who don’t know, monthly wrap-ups are when I go over the books I read over the past month, as well as my stats over on The StoryGraph.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, last week was pretty good in terms of blog activity and the novel reading that I did. I’m hoping that this week will, at the very least, be almost as good, but you never know. And with how stuff beyond books and blogging is still pretty rough, I’m going to continue taking it day by day.

This week I want to finally start reading The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah. I also want to do at least three other blog posts besides this one, one of them being a book review. And then I’ll go from there after that.

Not much else to say about anything aside from that. I’m gonna probably clean the house this week, and there’s still a lot going on in my personal life, but that’s it. Oh, and I guess my spouse and I are still trying to be healthier.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

Monthly Wrap-Up: September Reading 2025

It’s a bit later than I wanted to post this, but it’s also way earlier than last month, so I’ll take it. But yeah, here comes my reading wrap-up for September 2025!

My reading for this part month was basically the same as it was in August. It was also kind of bad. But my reading in general for most of this year has sucked, so yeah.

Anyway, let’s just start talking about my StoryGraph statistics from last month!

September Reading 2025

I read 1 book and 608 pages

😐 MOODS: I had three Moods in September, which is the same as the month before. The Moods from this past month were also the same as the month before: AdventurousLighthearted and Funny.

👢 PACE: The book I read last month was slow-paced.

🔢 PAGE NUMBER: The graphic novel I read last month was 608 pages.

📖 FICTION/NONFICTION: It was once again all fiction. As usual.

🎭 GENRES: There were two Genres on the graph this month. They were Fantasy and Manga.

📄 FORMAT: This pie chart was once again correct. Six straight months. That’s half a year. Yay.

⭐ RATING: My median star rating for last month was 4.0, which makes sense as I only read one book and that was the rating I gave it.

📉 PAGES READ DAILY: My reading once again sucked in September. I only read during the middle of the night, and it’s also where much prai of the month is.

Wrapping Up the Wrap-Up

So yeah, last month was kind of just the latest month this year so far wherein my reading was not great. I’d say I hope October is better, but it’s already started and it actually is better because I’ve already read two books!

This month I’ve already read A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro and What Stalks the Deep by T. Kingfisher. Next, I’m planning on finally reading The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah. Then, I’ll probably get back into the Dresden Files, and after that, One Piece.

Anyway, as always, thank you for joining me in checking out my StoryGraph stats for my September reading in 2025. Thank you also for reading, and I hope you have a great day/night!

Weekly Wrap-Up: 9/22 – 9/28

Yeah… So this is late. Ugh. This week has been a little rough for me, and the end of last week was kind of the same. There’s just been some stuff going on in my life lately, and even though I still have the time to do blog stuff, my mental health has been struggling. Just a little bit. So please bear with me and my somewhat sparser posting for now.

As I just alluded to, I didn’t post that much last week – only twice. And I haven’t implied anything about what I’ve read concerning books, but it’s also very infrequent, and in regards to last week, nonexistent. I’m already feeling a bit better (hence posting this Weekly Wrap-Up), so hopefully the rest of this week and next week will be better.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Wednesday 9/24: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

Last Wednesday, I did another Can’t-Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Friday 9/26: Birthstone Book Covers

On Friday, I participated in Birthstone Book Covers. Birthstone Book Covers is a fun little post created and hosted by Leslie @ Books Are the New Black.

Each month, for the post, you feature book covers that are either the same color of the month’s birthstone or include the color in the title. This month was September, and its birthstone is sapphire. So the color of the month was blue.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, the end of last week and the beginning of this week have been a little bit difficult for me. I’m feeling somewhat better though, as I said, so I’m up for blogging a bit this week. I’m also up for reading books again – I’ve got one cued up and ready to go for tomorrow.

Speaking of reading novels, the one that I’m pretty sure I’m gonna read next is A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro, which is something that’s been on my To Be Read List for quite some time now. Then, I’m planning on finally reading The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah, which was one of my most anticipated new books (and sequels) of 2025. I got it the day it came out and just didn’t end up reading it then for some reason. I dunno guys.

After that, things are a little but more nebulous, but I really want to get back to reading at least a few more of the books in the Dresden Files. And hopefully I’ll be able to start within the next week (after finishing the two books above). After that, maybe a new release or something? I’m not sure yet. I also want to continue on with the next arc of One Piece soon – I’m hoping to be able to begin this before the end of the month, but we’ll see. All my other reading takes priority; I might not get to it until next month.

Regarding posts this week… Well, it’s almost over, so I don’t think I’ll be doing more than two or possibly three. I’m definitely going to do my anticipated new books for October 2025, but I’m less sure about what other post (or posts) I might do. It’s been a while since I’ve done a Bewitching Book Covers, so maybe that one as well. Perhaps I’ll start uploading my Dresden File book reviews before the week is out, too. Who knows what else, though.

For stuff outside books and the blog, there really hasn’t been a lot going on, aside from the personal stuff that I don’t really want to get into. My spouse and I are still trying to be healthier, I guess, but in light of the personal stuff, it’s admittedly taking a slight backseat for now. I want to get back into healthier habits soon, however.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

Weekly Wrap-Up: 9/1 – 9/14

Heyyyy – look who it is! It’s me! I’m back with another Weekly Wrap-Up! Or, I guess a Bi-Monthly Wrap-Up in this case, haha.

The last couple of weeks have been a little busier than normal, but during the last one I managed to get some blogging and reading done. And I was happy with what I was able to do for both.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Monday 9/8: The Most Interesting Looking New Books of September 2025

Last Monday, I posted a list of the books that I’m looking forward to this month. Or, at least the ones that I think look the most interesting. It was the Most Interesting Looking New Books of September 2025. As always, it’s basically only fantasy and science fiction, as those are the two genres I primarily read. This time I had a whopping eight books on my list!

Wednesday 9/10: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

On Wednesday, I did another Can’t-Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Friday 9/12: First Line Friday

Last Friday, I participated in First Line Fridays for the first time in a few weeks. First Line Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers (formerly) hosted by Wandering Words. It’s where you guess what book the post is highlighting based on the book’s first words.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, though the week before last was a little lacking, I made up for it some this past week. I’m hoping that I can keep it up this coming week, but ultimately time will tell.

For posts I want to do this week on the blog, I want to do a couple of my usuals, but I also want to do my monthly reading wrap-up for August 2025. I’d also like to participate in my favorite monthly post, but we’ll see.

In regards to books… I have a few that I’m eyeing right now, though I’m not sure which one I’ll end up choosing before the day is done (I’m giving myself a hard deadline of picking by the end of today). Voidwalker by S.A. MacLean is calling me a little bit, but I’m also considering a couple of other things.

Concerning stuff outside books and blogging, my spouse recently started playing the long-awaited sequel to a certain indie hit from 2017, Hollow Knight: Silksong. Admittedly, I haven’t been as into this one, as I’m not super into Hollow Knight (though I know some people are), so I haven’t seen too much of this game yet. But I’m really happy that my spouse and all the people who waited like seven years for this game are finally getting to play and enjoy it. We’re also still continuing to try to eat healthier and be more active.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!
