Weekly Wrap-Up: 12/1 – 12/7

Hey there, it’s Monday again. Which means it’s time to wrap up the past week!

Last week was pretty good – I read a book and I did more than two blog posts. So I’m definitely going to count that as a win, especially considering my reading and blogging activity during the last couple of months. Not to mention, I actually got a book review out, too! Yay!

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Tuesday 12/2: The Most Interesting Looking New Books of December 2025

Last Tuesday, I posted a list of the books that I’m looking forward to this month. Or, at least the ones that I think look the most interesting. It was the The Most Interesting Looking New Books of December 2025. As always, it’s basically only fantasy and science fiction, as those are the two genres I primarily read. This time there were four books on my list.

Wednesday 12/3: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

On Wednesday, I participated in another Can’t-Wait Wednesday for the first time in several weeks. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Saturday 12/6: A Study in Charlotte Review

This past Saturday, I finally did another book review. It was the first time in a few months. There was a lot of really tough IRL stuff that was going on the last few months, so I’ve been behind on some stuff. But I’m catching up!

Anyway, I reviewed A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. It’s a YA Sherlock Holmes reimagining set in the modern day. It had some fun references to the original and some pretty good writing, though there was some stuff I didn’t really like about it. I gave it ★★★✯☆.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, that’s what I did last week regarding books and blogging. I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out. Hopefully I can keep it up during the coming week!

I’m honestly not sure what I’m gonna read next. At this point, I’m almost tempted to just cover my eyes and randomly grab one of the new books I got a few weeks ago. I’ll figure it out somehow. For blogging, I’m planning on posting one book review – hopefully even two – this week. I still gotta catch up! I also want to do my November 2025 reading wrap-up, and hopefully another couple of posts.

Last week was also the first snow of the month, and part two of the first snow of the year in my area. The first snow started the week before, technically, but Thanksgiving was also that week, so I mostly focused on that during last week’s wrap-up. It was nice to see some fluffy white snow on the ground, after the roads were cleared.

Now that Thanksgiving week is over, my spouse and I were also starting to try to be healthier. I have a feeling we’re not going to really get into it until after the new year, though. There are just too many holidays this time of year.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 11/24 – 11/30

Yay! I’m not super late with the Weekly Wrap-Up this week! Hopefully this is a good sign for the future!

Though my blogging wasn’t really any better than it’s been, I did read some books this past week. Or at least a couple novellas. But considering my track record with novel reading lately, I definitely see that as a huge win.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Thursday 11/27: Thanksgiving Day

Last Thursday was Turkey Day! To those who celebrate, once again, Happy Thanksgiving!! 🦃🍽️🥧🌽🍂🍁 Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday, and not because of the food or anything. I enjoy it because I love seeing family and friends I don’t usually get to see. I also like it because the hype for the holiday season officially starts here.

We had a good day again this year. I enjoyed seeing everyone that I got to see, and even though it’s not the reason that I love this holiday, the food was great this year. So it was a pretty okay Thanksgiving, this time around.

Saturday 11/29: Books I’m Thankful For

This past Saturday, I finally posted the usual thing I do for Thanksgiving, Books I’m Thankful For. It was about a day later than I’d have liked, but it wasn’t that late so I was pretty satisfied.

This year, the book – or series in this case, technically – that I gushed about were the Legend of Zelda bug books. AKA: The strategy guides and the lore books.

Sunday 11/30: Birthstone Book Covers

On Sunday, I participated in Birthstone Book Covers – just barely getting it in before the end of November. Birthstone Book Covers is a fun little post created and hosted by Leslie @ Books Are the New Black.

Each month, for the post, you feature book covers that are either the same color of the month’s birthstone or include the color in the title. This month was November, and its birthstones are topaz and citrine. So the colors of the month were yellow, gold, and yellow-orange.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, in some ways last week was a bit of an improvement, and in some ways it wasn’t. I’m happy with it overall – especially with the holiday and all that. Here’s hoping this is a sign of good things to come for the rest of the year. 🍀🤞

For my blog stuff this week, I definitely want to get my Most Interesting Looking New Books of December 2025 post, as well as my monthly wrap-up regarding my reading for November 2025. I want to get those two out during a reasonable week of the month this time around! I also want to get a book review – or two! – out as well. I’m waayyy behind now, especially in light of the fact that I read two novellas last week (which is something I’m very happy about).

Regarding books and reading… I just read the first two novels of the Penric and Desdemona series, but I think I’m gonna pause on that for a bit, even though I’ve enjoyed it. There’s just too much that I want to read. Next on my immediate TBR is the final volume of The Glass Scientists is coming out today, so I’ll be reading that as soon as my copy arrives. I’m very excited to see how everything concludes! After that, I’m not quite sure what I’ll read next, but I feel like I’m finally back on a reading kick. So hopefully it doesn’t go away!

Outside of books and blogging, last week had a lot going on. Sort of. Well, okay, “a lot” was basically only Thanksgiving, but my spouse and I also had a lot of extra time to ourselves compared to usual, courtesy of the holiday. We spent a lot of our time chilling and taking it easy, but we also binged Dispatch. It’s a new game developed by AdHoc Studio that was released episodically from mid-October to mid-November, and is the spiritual successor to Telltale Games. My spouse and I just lounged and watched and played a bunch of stuff in general, though.

Other than this stuff, however, nothing much happened. We even kind of took a break with the diet and stuff, because Thanksgiving is all about food and all. This is like one of the only weeks of the year where we kind of acknowledge that we’re not really going to eat healthy. Oh well. But this coming week we should be back on it.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 11/17 – 11/23

Hey there. I’m a little late with this, but it’s still really early in the week, so I’ll take it. Ugh. Still getting back into things.

Like the couple of weeks of the month, I still haven’t really read any books, unfortunately. I really, really want to, though! I don’t know why it’s so hard to get into the mindset of novel reading right now, but I’m very annoyed about it. As for my blogging last week… well, at least there was some of that, even if I only ended up posting twice. Erghhhh. (I’m kind of frustrated with myself about this, lol.)

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Friday 11/21: First Line Friday

Last Friday, I participated in First Line Fridays for the first time in a couple of months. First Line Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers (formerly) hosted by Wandering Words. It’s where you guess what book the post is highlighting based on the book’s first words.

Sunday 11/23: Bewitching Book Covers

On Sunday, I finally got around to posting another Bewitching Book Covers. The gap wasn’t as long as last time, but it’s still been over a month since the last time I did one of these posts. So I thought it was more than time for another one.

Bewitching Book Covers (formerly known as Majestic Mondays and Tasteful Tuesdays), is when I gush over a book cover that I like as well as analyze it (sometimes). I also typically give the book covers funny rating systems – not the usual blank out of five stars kind of thing.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, last week wasn’t what I was hoping it would be, but it definitely could’ve been – and absolutely has been – worse, so even though I’m annoyed about it, it’s not as much as I could be. I do want this coming week to be better, however. I really have to get back into gear.

I’m still debating about which book to read next, which has created the problem in which I don’t read anything at all. It’s very stupid, I know. I just gotta pick up a book and read, damnit! Ugh! My blog activity was okay, though. I would’ve liked it if it were better – and it should’ve been better – but it wasn’t, and I just gotta accept that. Hopefully I’ll be better with both reading and posting on the blog this coming week.

Regarding stuff outside of books and blogging, there wasn’t really anything big that went on last week, as usual. It was cleaning week, so we did that, but that was kind of it. I did do a couple of things to prepare for Thanksgiving as well, though. My spouse and I are also trying to watch what we eat more, and try to be healthier in general. We kind of fell off of that for a while, what with everything going on.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 11/3 – 11/16

Ughhh, late with this again. Gotta get my act together. Getting back into the swing of things has been harder than I thought it would be.

Still haven’t really read anything – well, regarding books at least – but hopefully this week I’ll finally start another one. My blogging could also be better, so hopefully I’ll get on that, as well.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Saturday 11/15: The Most Interesting Looking New Books of November 2025

Last Saturday, I posted a list of the books that I’m looking forward to this month. Or, at least the ones that I think look the most interesting. It was the Most Interesting Looking New Books of November 2025. As always, it’s basically only fantasy and science fiction, as those are the two genres I primarily read. This time there were only three books that looked interesting to me.

Sunday 11/16: October Reading 2025

On Sunday, I posted my Monthly Reading Wrap-Up for October 2025. It was, unfortunately, posted a little bit later in the month than I’d have liked, though. For those who don’t know, monthly wrap-ups are when I go over the books I read over the past month, as well as my stats over on The StoryGraph.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, I didn’t blog much or read any novels in the past couple of weeks. Which sucks, but that’s just how it ended up being – can’t change it now. Hopefully, the remainder of November will be better.

As I mentioned in my last Weekly Wrap-Up, I have quite a few books on my TBR, and I wasn’t sure what I was gonna read next and how many of those books were gonna stay on my To Be Read List. I believe I have since chosen my next read, which I’m happy about. I acquired several books recently, and I’m kind of itching to read at least two or three of them right off the bat. I’m also still thinking of getting back into the Dresden Files in like December or something. We’ll see what happens with that, however.

Regarding stuff outside of books and blogging, a big reason why I didn’t get any reading done, is because a new Zelda game came out. We’ll, Zelda-adjacent is more accurate, I suppose. I guess I should say Hyrule Warriors came out, since that’s what it is. But this time it’s canon to Legend and Zelda lore, and it specifically tells the story of what happened in the past during The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

I haven’t played it, since I don’t have Switch 2, but I have watched the entire story campaign and cutscenes, so I know everything I need to know. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is awesome though, with a fantastic story and characters, great visuals, a ton of aura farming, and even a little bit of innovation regarding the hack-and-slash gameplay that Warriors titles use. I was pretty impressed with it, and I’m so glad we have the full story of the Imprisoning War spoken of in Tears of the Kingdom. I’m a little miffed that it was in a whole other game, but that’s neither here nor there.

Concerning other stuff with life outside the blog, there’s really nothing else that went on the last couple of weeks. I guess that my spouse and I have still been kind of watching what we eat a little, and I took the Halloween decorations down, but nothing else.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 10/13 – 11/2

Uh, so it’s been quite a while. Sorry about that – I was dealing with a lot of really rough Real Life Stuff. The last month or so has really been a rollercoaster for me, but I think I’m finally starting to feel ready to be getting back to normal.

Anyway, unfortunately I didn’t read anything in the past few weeks, but with everything going on, I didn’t expect to. I’m not upset about that for the same reason. Likewise, I didn’t really do much posting on the blog, either. But, again, I’m not disappointed about that this time around, because of everything that’s been going on.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Tuesday 10/14: Top Ten Tuesday

A few Tuesdays ago, I participated in Top Ten Tuesday again for the first time in a couple weeks. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It celebrates lovely lists, wonderful books and the bookish community. The prompt for that week was Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time.

Thursday 10/30: Blogging Birthday

A week and a half ago, on the last Thursday of October, I did a post celebrating the anniversary of the day I first posted on The Blog That Nobody Knows. It was several days late, as my actual blogging birthday is October 18th, but I still wanted to acknowledge it regardless.

Friday 10/31: Halloween / Birthstone Book Covers

The Friday from a week and a half ago was October 31st, which is Halloween. So I’ll say it again: Happy Halloween!! 🎃👻 It was a pretty chill day for us at our house, we handed our candy to a few groups of kids and just relaxed and watched some TV. I had my Halloween decorations and candles going and it was really nice.

I also posted on Halloween. I participated in Birthstone Book Covers – just barely getting it in before October was over. Birthstone Book Covers is a fun little post created and hosted by Leslie @ Books Are the New Black.

Each month, for the post, you feature book covers that are either the same color of the month’s birthstone or include the color in the title. This month was October, and its birthstones are tourmaline and opal. So the colors of the month were pink and iridescent.

Books I Read Over the Last Three Weeks

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, I didn’t really do much in the last few weeks. But as I mentioned several times, there was a lot going on last month. Honestly, the last two and a half months have been super rough. But, I’m trying to get things in my life back to normal, and I think I’m ready to get back in the game with the blog again.

I have a bunch of books on my TBR that I still have to read, though I’m not sure which ones I’m going to read next. I do have an idea about the posts I want to do this week for the blog, though. I want to do my Most Interesting Looking New Books of November 2025 post, as well as my monthly reading wrap-up for October 2025. I’m not sure what else I’ll post, though I’m hoping to get a book review out as well. We’ll see, though.

As I highlighted above, Halloween was about a week and a half ago. And it was pretty nice, even after everything that went on. Concerning other stuff with life outside the blog, there’s really nothing else that went on, besides all of the rough stuff that was going on that I’m not gonna elaborate on. I guess that my spouse and I have still been kind of watching what we eat and stuff, but nothing else.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 10/6 – 10/12

Hey everyone! It’s time for another Weekly Wrap-Up. I know I’m a bit late this week, but real life is still rough right now, so I’m just taking everything day by day.

Last week was fantastic for me – both in regards to blogging and books. I’m really happy with it all. I was able to get out the post that I most wanted to, and I read more than one novel.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Tuesday 10/7: Top Ten Tuesday

Last Tuesday, I participated in Top Ten Tuesday. It’s been almost two months since I last participated in this, what with everything going on, so I was eager to get back into it.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It celebrates lovely lists, wonderful books and the bookish community. The prompt for last week was Satisfying Book Series.

Wednesday 10/8: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

On Wednesday, I did another Can’t-Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Sunday 10/12: September Reading 2025

Last Sunday, I posted my Monthly Reading Wrap-Up for September 2025. And it was posted at a reasonable time of the month this time! For those who don’t know, monthly wrap-ups are when I go over the books I read over the past month, as well as my stats over on The StoryGraph.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, last week was pretty good in terms of blog activity and the novel reading that I did. I’m hoping that this week will, at the very least, be almost as good, but you never know. And with how stuff beyond books and blogging is still pretty rough, I’m going to continue taking it day by day.

This week I want to finally start reading The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah. I also want to do at least three other blog posts besides this one, one of them being a book review. And then I’ll go from there after that.

Not much else to say about anything aside from that. I’m gonna probably clean the house this week, and there’s still a lot going on in my personal life, but that’s it. Oh, and I guess my spouse and I are still trying to be healthier.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 9/29 – 10/5

It’s the start of a new week, which means it’s time to wrap up the last one. And look – I’m on time this week!

Last week was still a bit rough for me, particularly during the first half. And it’s also why I didn’t post at all until Thursday. There’s just been some stuff going on outside the blogging part of my life that’s been hard on me, which is why updates aren’t what they could be. I’m hoping that will change coming up, but it’s more of a wait-and-see what happens kind of thing.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Friday 10/3: The Most Interesting Looking New Books of October 2025

Last Friday, I posted a list of the books that I’m looking forward to this month. Or, at least the ones that I think look the most interesting. It was the Most Interesting Looking New Books of October 2025. As always, it’s basically only fantasy and science fiction, as those are the two genres I primarily read. This time there were only three books that looked interesting to me, which isn’t what I had last month, but it was still something!

Sunday 10/5: Bewitching Book Covers

Yesterday, I posted another Bewitching Book Covers for the first time in two months. Wow, and I thought last time’s gap with this post was big.

Anyway, Bewitching Book Covers (formerly known as Majestic Mondays and Tasteful Tuesdays), is when I gush over a book cover that I like as well as analyze it (sometimes). I also typically give the book covers funny rating systems – not the usual blank out of five stars kind of thing.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, last week wasn’t the greatest in terms of blog activity, but it could’ve been worse. I’m also feeling better than I was early last week, and have finally started reading books again. So I’m very happy about that!

This week, I want to do a decent amount of posts. I want to do my monthly reading wrap-up for September 2025, participate in a couple of the usual posts that I usually engage in and definitely do at least one book review. I really want to get back in the groove of things in regards to books and blogging.

Concerning my reading of books, I finally started reading A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro. I’m not quite finished with it yet, but I’m hoping to do so by the end of tonight. Then, I’m planning on starting The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah. It’s one of my most anticipated reads of 2025, and it’s almost a crime that I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. So I want to rectify that as soon as I can. And then after that, I want to get back into the Dresden Files. And then after that, probably the next arc in One Piece. And maybe somewhere in between all that, I might possibly read a new release – like something that came out within the last few weeks to the last couple of months.

Regarding stuff outside of books and blogging, this past weekend I finally started switching and putting out our Halloween decorations. I don’t switch out the fall decor that much really – I just add to it and complement the autumn decorations with Halloween stuff for a month. Usually I’m a bit more on top of things, but the last month and a half has been a lot – I was late with getting the fall stuff out too, when I swapped out all of the summer stuff for autumn last month.

My spouse and I are still working on being healthy. It took a little bit of a dive for a few weeks with everything going on in real life beyond the blog, but we’re trying to get back into it.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 9/22 – 9/28

Yeah… So this is late. Ugh. This week has been a little rough for me, and the end of last week was kind of the same. There’s just been some stuff going on in my life lately, and even though I still have the time to do blog stuff, my mental health has been struggling. Just a little bit. So please bear with me and my somewhat sparser posting for now.

As I just alluded to, I didn’t post that much last week – only twice. And I haven’t implied anything about what I’ve read concerning books, but it’s also very infrequent, and in regards to last week, nonexistent. I’m already feeling a bit better (hence posting this Weekly Wrap-Up), so hopefully the rest of this week and next week will be better.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Wednesday 9/24: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

Last Wednesday, I did another Can’t-Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Friday 9/26: Birthstone Book Covers

On Friday, I participated in Birthstone Book Covers. Birthstone Book Covers is a fun little post created and hosted by Leslie @ Books Are the New Black.

Each month, for the post, you feature book covers that are either the same color of the month’s birthstone or include the color in the title. This month was September, and its birthstone is sapphire. So the color of the month was blue.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, the end of last week and the beginning of this week have been a little bit difficult for me. I’m feeling somewhat better though, as I said, so I’m up for blogging a bit this week. I’m also up for reading books again – I’ve got one cued up and ready to go for tomorrow.

Speaking of reading novels, the one that I’m pretty sure I’m gonna read next is A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro, which is something that’s been on my To Be Read List for quite some time now. Then, I’m planning on finally reading The Ashfire King by Chelsea Abdullah, which was one of my most anticipated new books (and sequels) of 2025. I got it the day it came out and just didn’t end up reading it then for some reason. I dunno guys.

After that, things are a little but more nebulous, but I really want to get back to reading at least a few more of the books in the Dresden Files. And hopefully I’ll be able to start within the next week (after finishing the two books above). After that, maybe a new release or something? I’m not sure yet. I also want to continue on with the next arc of One Piece soon – I’m hoping to be able to begin this before the end of the month, but we’ll see. All my other reading takes priority; I might not get to it until next month.

Regarding posts this week… Well, it’s almost over, so I don’t think I’ll be doing more than two or possibly three. I’m definitely going to do my anticipated new books for October 2025, but I’m less sure about what other post (or posts) I might do. It’s been a while since I’ve done a Bewitching Book Covers, so maybe that one as well. Perhaps I’ll start uploading my Dresden File book reviews before the week is out, too. Who knows what else, though.

For stuff outside books and the blog, there really hasn’t been a lot going on, aside from the personal stuff that I don’t really want to get into. My spouse and I are still trying to be healthier, I guess, but in light of the personal stuff, it’s admittedly taking a slight backseat for now. I want to get back into healthier habits soon, however.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 9/15 – 9/21

So it’s a little bit late, but I’m here with my Weekly Wrap-Up for last week!

Posting was okay last week, but it could’ve been better. Stuff happened during the second half of the week though, and I ended up getting a little busy. It’s also why I didn’t end up being able to read more than I did.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Wednesday 9/17: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

Last Wednesday, I did another Can’t-Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Saturday 9/20: August Reading 2025

On Saturday, I posted my Monthly Reading Wrap-Up for August 2025. And it was posted at a reasonable time of the month this time! For those who don’t know, monthly wrap-ups are when I go over the books I read over the past month, as well as my stats over on The StoryGraph.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, last week was okay, but it could’ve been better. I still read and posted though, and with how things were going before, I’ll take that as a win. I hope this coming week will be better, though.

I’ve got A Study in Charlotte and The Ashfire King on my more immediate TBR, so here’s hoping I’ll get through those this week. After that, I think there’s a good chance I might get back into reading the Dresden Files. I read the first seven books a few years ago – like six months or so before I started posting on this blog, actually – but then I took a break. Because even though I loved the series, I read those seven books all within a month, and I wanted to read other stuff for a bit. So I’ve been meaning to get back to them for a while. Maybe I’ll make it an October thing, since it starts next week anyway. I don’t know.

Not too much went on last week, with life outside the blog. It was cleaning week last week, and my spouse and I are still trying to be healthier, but that’s mostly it.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar

Weekly Wrap-Up: 9/1 – 9/14

Heyyyy – look who it is! It’s me! I’m back with another Weekly Wrap-Up! Or, I guess a Bi-Monthly Wrap-Up in this case, haha.

The last couple of weeks have been a little busier than normal, but during the last one I managed to get some blogging and reading done. And I was happy with what I was able to do for both.

Anyway, without further ado, let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap-Up!

Monday 9/8: The Most Interesting Looking New Books of September 2025

Last Monday, I posted a list of the books that I’m looking forward to this month. Or, at least the ones that I think look the most interesting. It was the Most Interesting Looking New Books of September 2025. As always, it’s basically only fantasy and science fiction, as those are the two genres I primarily read. This time I had a whopping eight books on my list!

Wednesday 9/10: Can’t-Wait Wednesday

On Wednesday, I did another Can’t-Wait Wednesday. Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme currently hosted by Tressa @ Wishful Endings. It focuses on books you’re looking forward to reading, usually new releases.

Friday 9/12: First Line Friday

Last Friday, I participated in First Line Fridays for the first time in a few weeks. First Line Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers (formerly) hosted by Wandering Words. It’s where you guess what book the post is highlighting based on the book’s first words.

Books I Read Last Week

Wrapping It All Up

So yeah, though the week before last was a little lacking, I made up for it some this past week. I’m hoping that I can keep it up this coming week, but ultimately time will tell.

For posts I want to do this week on the blog, I want to do a couple of my usuals, but I also want to do my monthly reading wrap-up for August 2025. I’d also like to participate in my favorite monthly post, but we’ll see.

In regards to books… I have a few that I’m eyeing right now, though I’m not sure which one I’ll end up choosing before the day is done (I’m giving myself a hard deadline of picking by the end of today). Voidwalker by S.A. MacLean is calling me a little bit, but I’m also considering a couple of other things.

Concerning stuff outside books and blogging, my spouse recently started playing the long-awaited sequel to a certain indie hit from 2017, Hollow Knight: Silksong. Admittedly, I haven’t been as into this one, as I’m not super into Hollow Knight (though I know some people are), so I haven’t seen too much of this game yet. But I’m really happy that my spouse and all the people who waited like seven years for this game are finally getting to play and enjoy it. We’re also still continuing to try to eat healthier and be more active.

Anyway, as always thank you for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful day/night! As well as a much better week than I’ve been having!

See ya ~Mar
